Dimensional access is intended to be a major progression in Hard-Hoof. Reaching another dimension will involve creating Patterns and unlocking Secrets of Reality, then using that progression to construct access.
Patterns
Patterns are a named part of the intended dimensional progression. Their representation, creation process, and effects on dimensional access have not yet been defined.
Secrets of Reality
Secrets of Reality are planned unlocks associated with understanding and accessing other dimensions. Discovery methods, prerequisites, and the capabilities unlocked by each secret remain to be designed.
Access and progression
The system is intended to require a developed sequence of discoveries and construction. Portal machinery, destination rules, resource costs, persistence, and return travel are not yet specified.
Dimensions belong to the broader high-fantasy-tech progression. Their precise relationship to technology, chemistry, magic, and adventure remains open, as does module ownership.
